“A Certificate of Demolition Eligibility application have been submitted for 3022 Welton Street. The City and County of Denver, Community Planning & Development, has reviewed the property and found it has potential for landmark designation pursuant to Section 30-6 of the Denver Revised Municipal Code. The building will be posted for 21 days beginning on February 11th, 2020 for a notice of intent to file a designation (“Notice of Intent”) to be brought forth.
To begin the designation process, Notice of Intent must be received by Community Planning and Development by March 3rd, 2020 before 4:30 pm. If a Notice of Intent is received by Community Planning and Development March 3rd, 2020, the posting period is extended to April 13th, 2020 during which time a meeting is required (see DRMC Section 30-6(1)(c)). If a Notice of Intent is not received by Twenty One Days After Posting, a Certificate of Demolition Eligibility will be issued on March 4th, 2020, allowing demolition permits to be issued upon compliance with all state and city requirements.
