“The National Museum of African American History and Culture (NMAAHC) is coming to Denver November 1 – 11, 2018 to host a free Community Curation event at the Blair-Caldwell African American Research Library and the Black American West Museum. This event is a part of an initiative that connects African Americans across generations by preserving our history and sharing stories, photos, and videos online.
Register today to attend free digitization sessions and sign up to attend public programs led by curators, historians, and archivists from the National Museum of African American History and Culture and the Denver community.
Bring your personal, organizational and familial memories and mementos for digitizing by NMAAHC’s digital team.
Upload your material to a new online app that allows you to share your family history with the world.
Participate in workshops about oral history, photography, and local history.
For more information about this initiative, visit nmaahc.si.edu/community-curation-program. Join the conversation on Twitter @NMAAHCÂ and use #CuratedByCommunity to share your family story!”
