“Neighborhood Zoning Inspectors can only enforce inoperable vehicles parked on private property, we cannot enforce any activity on the street. The only ordinance I am aware of that this car is violating is parking in excess of 72 hours on the street (ordinance below), and parking enforcement is with the ROWE Public Works Department. You can report this car to the ROWE department at 720-913-1600, and you will need the car’s location and license plate number. If there is no license plate number, you can report the car as an abandoned vehicle to the Police department’s nonemergency phone line.
Ordinance: DRMC 54-465. Parking in excess of 72 hours.
(a) It shall be unlawful for any owner or operator of a vehicle to leave that vehicle parked in the same place on a public street continuously for a period in excess of seventy-two (72) hours. A vehicle shall be considered in violation of this subsection if it has not been moved at least one hundred (100) feet during the seventy-two-hour period of time.
