“With an eye on reality, Jackson/Teton County Housing Director April Norton and staff recommended — and the Town Council agreed — going with a local development group to build a planned affordable rental housing project at 400 W. Snow King Ave.
The council voted in favor of local Snow King Partners and Blueline Development for the project, despite their proposal running an estimated $153 more per square foot than the project’s other applicant, Dawson Holdings Inc. of California. Snow King Partners includes local developers Tyler Davis and Joe Rice, Design Associates Architects, NelsonEngineering and GE Johnson. Blueline Development is a Laramie company brought in on the local partners’ proposal due to its extensive experience and success in gaining housing tax credits from the Wyoming Community Development Authority.
Dawson Holdings’ proposal was for an estimated $364 per square foot of construction. Meanwhile, the Snow King Partners’ bid projected a total cost of $517 per square foot, which Norton acknowledged is significantly higher.”
